The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is located in south part of Germany and is accessible by all sorts of transportation. It is at the convergence of freeways A3, A6 and A9, is connected to the German high speed railway net and can be reached via Nuremberg airport (NUE), which receives flights from many European and German cities. Overseas service is accessible via the German international airports Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC) and a couple of European hubs like London, Paris and Amsterdam.

By Car
Fraunhofer IIS is located near the Nürnberg airport and the intersection of highway B4 Nürnberg-Erlangen and freeway A3 Regensburg-Frankfurt. Follow A3 until exit Erlangen-Tennenlohe, then follow B4 heading for Erlangen and exit at Tennenlohe-Gewerbegebiet, Wetterkreuz. At the traffic lights go straight for three blocks, at hotel Tennenloher Hof turn right onto "Am Wolfsmantel". After 500 m you will see Fraunhofer IIS on your left. There is visitor car parking available in front of the building.
By Train
Take bus no. 295 with destination Tennenlohe leaving in front of the Erlangen main station. After a ride of about 25 minutes exit at bus stop "Tennenlohe Süd" for Hotel Tennloher Hof or next stop "Brückleinsgasse" right in front of Fraunhofer IIS.
By Plane
The taxi ride from the Nuremberg airport takes approximately 20 minutes.

By Car
Nuremberg is a located at the intersection of freeway A3, A6 and A9. Both hotels are located near the central railway station "Hauptbahnhof". Follow the signs "Centrum" or "Hauptbahnhof".
By Train
Both hotels are in walking distance from the main railway station.
By Plane
From the airport, use underground U2 and exit at stop "Hauptbahnhof" (main railway station).
A taxi ride from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes.
